Micro-Wedding: Sumit + Kelly

As Sumit and Kelly were looking forward to uniting their lives, families and traditions together they envisioned a wedding day that showcased the melding of themselves.

They wanted an wedding experience that brought together a comfortable and casual western design with highlights of traditional Indian elegance.

The Design Concept

For our October wedding we brought in romantic jewel tones, texture from a mixture of cheesecloth and velvet and natural wood elements highlighted by antique gold for a vibrant but comforting design.

Custom Elements & Special Moments

To make the design truely unique we highlighted a traditional Indian wedding element - the mandala in a different way. Normally painted on the ceremony floor area or printed on a rug, we instead brought the design front and center as a carved wooden backdrop. The design was highlighted by textured fabrics, floral installations, and Indian style hanging lanterns.

Continuing the design down the walkway we pulled in our teal accent color on the bench seating and created a memorable moment by memorializing family members that couldn't be a part of the celebration.

Lastly, a key moment for Kelly was having a champagne tower. We created a photo perfect and fun moment to kick off the celebration.

Floral Design

To tie together the color palette and focus on texture, we brought a mix of dried and fresh florals with a mix of blush tones, blue eucalyptus, and bright color pops. Ceremony installs, arrangements, and wedding party pieces tied everything together across the design.

Reception

For the reception the couple had simple charcuterie and cocktails. Taking advantage of the beautiful ceremony space, we flipped the seating area to something more causal and as dusk arrived lite candles to create a moody and romantic ambiance.
